Walking the Vision Together in the Pocono Mountains

Today was another meaningful step in the journey toward YAHSHUA Organic Farm & Retreat.
Dorothy and I spent time in the Pocono Mountains, surrounded by the kind of peaceful scenery that continues to remind us why this vision matters so much. The mountains, the trees, the open land, and the quiet atmosphere all speak to the kind of place we are working to create—a place where people can come away from the noise, rest, pray, reconnect, and experience the beauty of God’s creation.
What people see publicly is only part of the journey. Behind the scenes, we are constantly researching, making calls, reviewing properties, asking questions, studying zoning requirements, looking at access, utilities, soil, septic possibilities, and thinking carefully about how every part of this farm and retreat should come together.
We are not simply looking for land. We are looking for the right land.
The future home of YAHSHUA Organic Farm & Retreat must have room for our organic gardens, prayer and nature trails, peaceful RV accommodations, educational agriculture, gathering areas, family space, and the quiet atmosphere that has been part of this vision from the beginning.
And we are determined not to rush the process.
A beautiful property is wonderful, but beauty alone is not enough. The land also has to support the mission. It has to make sense financially, practically, and spiritually. Every property we visit teaches us something, even when it turns out not to be the one.
Today was also special because this journey is something Dorothy and I are walking together. Building something of this size takes patience, faith, sacrifice, planning, and a willingness to keep moving even when everything has not yet fallen into place.
We believe that one day we will look back at photographs like this one and remember these early days—the driving, searching, conversations, paperwork, questions, and all the little steps that eventually led us to the place we were meant to build.
Until then, we keep working. We keep searching. We keep praying. And we keep moving forward.
